Web Wrangler · Version history

River's spider mission: catch buggies, repair the web, and face the queen. The original adventure stays playable.

Compact Help · focused keyboard controls

Instructions now live in a reopenable Help panel, keeping more of the web visible during play. Full instructions remain on start and retry. Movement and R restart keep working with focused Help; Space toggles the button without triggering the game's Space action.

Desktop Chromium checks cover focused-key controls, input recovery, natural victory/loss and restart. Startup and expanded instructions fit at 390×844, 844×390, 667×375 and 1280×800 in checked browser contexts. Expanded Help intentionally covers some scenery. Native-touch gameplay acceptance is not renewed by these checks; physical-device, native focus switching and family play-feel remain unverified. River's game rules are unchanged.

The following input-recovery notes describe earlier checks, not renewed touch acceptance for Compact Help.

Input recovery · earlier verification notes

Fresh starts without leftover steering: held keys and stale pointer targets clear on restart and window blur. Held repair input clears too; move or press again to take control.

The bug goal, silk economy, web damage and queen rules are unchanged.

Automated Chromium checks on the byte-identical game pages cover keyboard and pointer recovery, repair cancellation, natural desktop victory/loss and terminal restart. Separate native browser touch routes at 390×844 portrait and 844×390 landscape verified natural capture, repair, queen victory and tap replay for latest and original. The original retains its legacy release-click replay quirks. Separate mouse and Space checks verified direct queen-wrap cancellation across synthetic blur and keyboard restart, followed by fresh-input recovery. These are distinct checks, not native window-switch or physical-device proof. Visual help overlays remain; input passes through on latest, but scenery and instructions can still be obscured. Native focus switching, hidden-document behavior, physical-device play and family play-feel remain unverified. These checked routes do not establish all-device or unobstructed mobile layout acceptance.
