Snake Classic: playable history
Theo’s rules stay the same: eat dots, grow, avoid the border and your own body.
- Latest — clean swipe restart and two-finger Restart
Restart clears an unfinished swipe so releasing an old contact cannot steer the new run. A second finger can press Restart while the first stays on the board. Chromium native-touch checks at 390×844 and 844×390 covered both release orders, one reset, fresh steering and normal mouse/keyboard restart. These are input-ownership checks, not renewed layout acceptance. Desktop and emulated-touch natural border losses and rematches passed; controlled food, growth, body-collision and full-board checks are not natural full-board victories. The original rules and previous layout are retained. Safari, physical-device play and native OS focus switching remain unverified. - Play September 23, 2026 — steady keyboard and swipe controls
Arrow keys and board swipes steer without scrolling the page. Scroll normally outside the board. Up or Down starts or restarts in that direction, using the keyboard or on-screen direction buttons. Fill the whole board to reach Board Complete: see your final score and restart instead of freezing. Control hints sit below the board, leaving every grid cell unobscured. On portrait touch screens, the board and direction buttons fit together after scrolling, with the rules below the controls. In tested landscape touch viewports (844×390 and 667×375), the board, score display, direction buttons and restart fit together after scrolling. Other screen sizes and physical-device Safari play remain unverified. Read this preserved release’s own history. These layout notes describe that historical release. - Play September 22, 2026 — rapid corners and reliable restart
Queues two quick turns, one per grid step. Restart keeps a single animation loop. Preserved unchanged. - Play the original — preserved September 22, 2026
The version before the rapid-corner update, unchanged.
